All Saints School

All Saints School is a Catholic coeducational elementary school serving grades K-8.  The educational experience is fostered by a loving faith community of students, faculty and parents.  Students are encouraged to be active, reflective and responsible in every aspect of school life.  The program at the school is traditional , stressing basic skills in mathematics, literature, composition and science.  In addition to the regular academic program, the school offers a variety of supplementary programs including physical education, school library, computer science courses, and after school sports.  The school has extended day care staffed by teachers and aides from the school.  The school fosters the spiritual growth of the children through prayer, religion classes, liturgies and a variety of service projects.

Altar & Rosary Society

Provides for the preparation of services and the altar; and are also responsible for the cleaning of the church.

Altar Servers

The server is a member of the assembly who assists the priest during the Eucharist so that the liturgy can be conducted with grace and reverence.  The ministry of server is truly an honor.  It should be treated with utmost dignity and reverence.  Baptized persons in the fifth grade and older (including adults) who have received First Communion may serve in this ministry.

Baptism Preparation

This preparation program helps parents and god-parents of newborns to prepare for celebrating the sacrament of baptism.  This is a one session program reflecting on the meaning of baptism.  Parents wishing their infants baptized should contact the Rectory for a scheduled preparation.

Bulletin

The bulletin "Parish News" is published weekly to communicate with the parish at large about parish events and news.  The deadline for a bulletin announcement is Tuesday noon before the Sunday of publication.

Christian Initiation

Christian initiation is the process through which unbaptized adults, responding to God's call, are growing in understanding the Catholic faith and open themselves to a deeper relationship with God.  Their spiritual journeys are marked by various steps over a period of two years.  After discernment of the candidates' readiness to make their commitment to the Christian way of life, the process culminates with the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, & Eucharist) celebrated at the Easter vigil.  Christian initiation is also for baptized adults, Catholics who have not received the initiation sacraments of Confirmation & First Communion.

Church Decorators

This is the ministry of preparing the church environment for the celebration of the liturgy through the enhancement of our surroundings, inviting the people to worship our Lord.  The decorations foster hospitality and create the environment for seasonal celebrations.

"Angels of All Saints"

This is a program dedicated to promote, encourage and organize activity from among parishioners; and to acknowledge the efforts of all those who already serve our church by providing their time, talents and efforts.  Anyone can become an "ANGEL" of All Saints by giving "gifts" to our church - gifts of our time, talents or energies.

Confirmation

The Confirmation is a two year program for students who are in 9th to 12th grade.  It is a process deepening these young peoples' understanding about themselves in relationship with God and our community in order to make a life long commitment through the Spirit to discipleship, devotion and spiritual development.  The students meet for classes from September to May.

Eucharistic Ministries

This is the ministry of bringing the sacrament of the Body and Blood of Christ to the People of God.  The ministry is more than a functional ministry of distribution.  What the minister offers to Christ, in that very act by which Christ gives of himself to his sisters and brothers, is a personal presence.  Eucharistic Ministers distribute the Holy Communion at masses.  Some Eucharistic Ministers also take Communion to those who are sick and unable to attend.

Finance Council

The Finance Council is key advisory group to the Pastor, assisting in preparing and monitoring the annual budget.  Members are appointed by the Pastor for their sound judgment and professionalism in business and accounting practice.

The lector communicates both the content and the spirit of God's Word.  The love of scripture, the commitment to learning and great preparation are the gifts the lector brings to the community.  The lector works closely with the presider, musicians, and other ministers to help create a nice liturgy.  They are scheduled to read on regular basis at masses.

Legion of Mary

The Legion of Mary evangelize and bring back Catholics to the church.  Active members visit homes, hospitals and rest homes.  They also meet weekly to pray.  Auxiliary members support the evangelization effort through daily prayer.

Liturgy Committee

The Liturgy Committee assists the pastor in setting goals and policies for worship and the sacramental life of our community.  The committee oversees the planning and implementation for liturgical seasons.

Music Ministry

Music can be a powerful tool in the liturgy for teaching, comfort and conversion.  Music is a vital part of any liturgy.  The role of the music minister is to guide and assist the assembly in direct participation in the liturgy through the celebration of songs and praise.  The parish has several choirs.

Pastoral Council

The Pastoral Council serves in an advisory capacity to the Pastor on important parish issues, as well as seeks to develop the vision for the parish in order to carry out the mission of Christ in our community.  The Pastoral Council oversees the parish planning process.  The Council holds its regular meeting on the first Thursday of the month.

Quinceañeras

"Quinceañera" is a religious presentation ceremony celebrated around a young woman's fifteenth birthday.  It is a custom of Mexican tradition, and consists of a Mass with renewal of baptismal vows expressing growth in faith and maturity.  Those interested in celebrating a "quinceañera", should make arrangements 3 months in advance.  To celebrate a "quinceañera" in Mass requires that the young woman have made the First Communion.
